On October 26, 2021 a 2 alarm fire broke out in the tower of the Second Baptist Church in St. Louis. The building was listed as a Place in Peril in 2019. Thankfully the St. Louis Fire Department acted quckily and the damage was contatined to the central portion. https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/bell-tower-goes-up-in-flames-at-vacant-church-in-central-west-end/article_f4a97c75-a307-57d1-ade0-ee9e33abb5e3.html
