This directory is intended to help the general public find people with expertise in various aspects of historic preservation, be it planning, design, development, financing, tax credits, National Register nominations or accounting as well as museums, venues and other preservation or history-related organizations. Full listings are made up of major donors to our organization and are intended to recognize these people and companies for their generosity to the cause of historic preservation in Missouri. Partial listings are individuals or companies that have given in the past or have affiliated with past-recognized projects, etc. It is NOT AN ENDORSEMENT of any of the companies or individuals mentioned.

Biography
Painted Effects Contracting, LLC, owned by Bob McCarty, is a full service Painting Company that concentrates on all aspects for the preservation of the interior and exterior of older buildings and homes, including plaster and wood repair. We specialize in the renovation and preservation of historic wood sash windows making sure that the sash runs freely in its original track. Not only will we repair or rebuild the sash, but we will work with you in stopping any air infiltration into the building with the help of storms and weather stripping. If the building does not have storms, and is eligible under historical standards, we will build Custom Storm Windows to fit the opening. We will work with you to match existing colors or lead you in a direction so that you can pick the colors that will make your building or home one of a kind. We will also replicate a wood or marble effect that will adorn your building in a grand scale.
