This directory is intended to help the general public find people with expertise in various aspects of historic preservation, be it planning, design, development, financing, tax credits, National Register nominations or accounting as well as museums, venues and other preservation or history-related organizations. The directory is made up of major donors to our organization and is intended to recognize these people and companies for their generosity to the cause of historic preservation in Missouri. It is NOT AN ENDORSEMENT of any of the companies or individuals mentioned.
We strongly urge you to obtain competitive bids and get references from contractors, etc. before the start of any building rehabilitation project.

Missouri Humanities Council
Biography
The Missouri Humanities Council is a 501c3 statewide organization that bolsters local economic development in rural and urban communities through heritage tourism initiatives, conducts workshops benefitting Missouri veterans and their families, and enhances local communities by funding humanities-based programs, projects, and events through an extensive community grants program. The MHC encourages and supports humanities-related public outreach programming, including teacher education academies and workshops, lecture series, forums, and publications, festivals and living history venues, reading programs for disadvantaged families, and commemorative exhibits highlighting the rich heritage of Missouri. To accomplish these activities, the MHC regularly partners with numerous statewide, regional, and local civic and community organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies. (7/18)
