This directory is intended to help the general public find people with expertise in various aspects of historic preservation, be it planning, design, development, financing, tax credits, National Register nominations or accounting as well as museums, venues and other preservation or history-related organizations. The directory is made up of major donors to our organization and is intended to recognize these people and companies for their generosity to the cause of historic preservation in Missouri. It is NOT AN ENDORSEMENT of any of the companies or individuals mentioned.
We strongly urge you to obtain competitive bids and get references from contractors, etc. before the start of any building rehabilitation project.
KPFF Consulting Engineers
|KPFF’s St. Louis office, established in 2002, is a recognized expert in the rehabilitation of historic buildings, particularly in the Midwest. We have been involved with scores of rehabilitation projects that involved buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, or that used state and federal historic tax credits. Our experience includes buildings with all structural framing systems common at or before the turn-of-the-century, including brick bearing wall buildings, skeleton frame structures, flat plate concrete, heavy timber, and fireproof and archaic systems developed as ‘fire proof” buildings. Our expertise includes façade review and restoration including brick, terra cotta and sandstone, utilizing the National Park Service’s Preservation Briefs. We have also evaluated all types of foundation systems, and have been involved with major foundation strengthening and underpinning programs.|
