The state of Missouri has one of the top Historic Preservation Tax Credit programs in the country, with over $3 billion worth of investment back into Missouri. Even with so much success there is still a constant battle to keep the HPTC away from budget cuts. Aside from sending email updates and attending meetings, Missouri Preservation hosts our annual Preservation Day at the Capitol in Jefferson City were our goal is to meet with as many Missouri legislators as possible and share the importance of the HPTC.

Missouri Preservation is currently looking for individuals who have an interest in joining the Public Policy Committee. The committee focuses on promoting and expanding public policy in the best interests of historic preservation through dissemination and education. Our goal is to assemble a Public Policy Committee with regional connections throughout the state of Missouri. Most committee meetings take place over the phone, however there may be certain occasions when meeting in person is essential.
