We Assist

Missouri Preservation is here to point your in the right direction.

We understand that not every preservationist has a college degree, not every contractor knows the ins and outs of the Secretary of Interior Standards for Historic Rehabilitation, and not all people know where to begin when they buy a historic property.

While we are a small staff of one, Missouri Preservation knows a lot of people and resources! Check out the links below and if you can’t find what you need, give us a call or shoot us an email!

Preservation Resource Directory

This directory is intended to help the general public find people with expertise in various aspects of historic preservation, be it planning, design, development, financing, tax credits, National Register nominations or accounting as well as museums, venues and other preservation or history-related organizations.

Historic Preservation Funding

If we had a dollar for every call we received about funding available for historic preservation, we’d be able to start our own grant fund!

Historic Real Estate

Missouri Preservation does not handle real estate or the selling of historic properties. These listings are a benefit given to members of Missouri Preservation.

Job Board

Share your job postings with Missouri Preservation and we’ll post them here!

Identification, Research & Designation

Find our more information on how to identify buildings versus structures, the types of designations available for historic properties, how to start research, and more!

Education & Advocacy Resources

Links & useful information on how to advocate for your property through the lens of educational planning/interpretation.

For Communities

While all of the resources listed above are useful to communities, this section includes information on specific community-based preservation resources.

We receive calls for support every day! While our services are generally free, our ability to assist is directly linked to the support we receive from our members. Please become a member and help us continue the ability to provide assistance.
