Volunteers Needed in Salem, Missouri!
The Salem Alliance for Historic Preservation is searching for volunteers for multiple upcoming projects. These projects range from simple office work, to painting, to major building restoration. These volunteers are welcome from across the country.
Though we cannot fly you in a big fancy private jet, and there will be no limo rides, we are offering free lodging during your time in Salem. Our small town is right along the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, along with several State Parks and a National Forest.
The space is a large bedroom equipped with a full size bed, a workspace, and a relaxation area. The bedroom is located in our office, which is a former doctor’s office from the early 1900s located in historic downtown. Just 20 steps from your bed is a shopping and dining district, as well as many historic educational opportunities.
The room is offered to any preservationist with any skillset. You may use the room for 4 nights and 5 days. If an extension is needed, we will cross that bridge when we get there! There is a small kitchen for your use, but we ask that you bring your own food and dishes. If you have any questions, please ask!
Are you in? If so, fill out the form and get on the schedule!
*The room is available December 15th- January 19th, and all of Summer 2020.*
